Reverend Kathleen A. Kuehl

Pastor Kuehl is a native of Franklin County, Pennsylvania; she was born in Chambersburg and graduated from Waynesboro Area High School. A second career pastor, she graduated from college with a B.S. in Music Education and taught music in the Mount Union (PA) schools; she also served for many years as Director of Music at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Mount Union. Prior to attending seminary, she took training as a lay worship leader in the Lutheran Church and served as a supply worship leader in a number of congregations. Having graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary/Gettysburg in 1993, she was called and ordained in 1994 as the pastor of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Glasgow, Pennsylvania. She has also served as the called pastor of Horner and Zion Hoffman Lutheran churches in Somerset County (2000-2008) and Immanuel, Williamstown, and St. Christopher, Lykens in northern Dauphin County (2009-2015) prior to accepting the call to St. James and St. Paul. Over the years she has also served as interim pastor several congregations during their pastoral vacancies. Pastor Kuehl resides in Dallastown with her husband, John Kuehl, and their two miniature schnauzers, Max and Mitzi. She may be contacted at the office at St. James (927-9497); she is in the office Tuesday to Friday mornings. Sunday worship times are 9:30 am at St. James and 11:00 am at St. Paul.
